Samsung’s large Galaxy Note II smartphone is now available for purchase in India at a lower cost than before, namely only INR 33,800 ($629 / 470 Euro).

The handset can be acquired at this cost through various brick and mortar stores, AndroidOS notes in a recent post, while being available for a bit more via online portals, at INR 34,990.

Made official at IFA 2012 in Berlin in August, Galaxy Note II arrived on shelves in India with a large 5.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a quad-core processor packed inside.

The smartphone also features 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the front, and a 1.9MP front camera for making video calls.

Samsung has packed Galaxy Note II with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.
