Galaxy Note 3, the latest Android-based smartphone from Samsung Electronics, is now confirmed to arrive on shelves with a PenTile Super AMOLED display, the same as Galaxy S4 before it.

The handset was previously rumored to feature such a screen, but no official word from Samsung emerged on the matter until now.

Apparently, the South Korean handset vendor has already told AppDated that the device indeed sports said display.

As SamMobile notes, the feature should provide Galaxy Note 3’s 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with lower power consumption features.

Made official at the IFA 2013 conference in Berlin two weeks ago, the Galaxy Note 3 will arrive on shelves later this month with a Snapdragon 800 processor inside and 3GB of RAM.

The same as other Galaxy Note smartphones, the handset runs under Google’s Android operating system.
