Today, Samsung has started to deploy a new software update for the owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 devices out there, so as to provide them with a series of features that made their debut on Samsung Galaxy S5 earlier this year.

The update has been already pushed to carrier-branded variants of the mobile phone, but it appears that it is now rolling out to the international Snapdragon-based Galaxy Note 3 model (SM-N9005).

The new firmware release will arrive on handsets as software version N9005XXUFNF4 and will provide users with the benefits of Download Booster, as well as with Kids Mode.

Moreover, the update, which weighs around 185 MB in size, and which has been already spotted in the UK, will provide users with KNOX 2.0 too.

According to SamMobile, Galaxy Note 3 won’t see Kids Mode working immediately, as the update only puts the Kids Mode installer on the smartphone. However, it can then be used to download the necessary files to install the feature.

The new firmware release is expected to become available for users in other markets out there as well in the coming days. Users can check on its availability by going to Settings > General > About phone > Software update, yet they might not see it as available for them right away, since this is a phased rollout.
