Before this week is over, mobile phone users in Australia will be able to purchase the latest Google phone out there, none other than the Galaxy Nexus smartphone from Samsung.
Nothing has been officially announced on the matter, but mobicity.com.au has the device on its website and claims that November 24th is the release date for it.
The retailer has made the new mobile phone available for purchase via its website
here, and wants $799 (around 589 Euros) for it.
“The
Galaxy Nexus is Google's successor to the Nexus One and the Nexus S. The device ships in November and comes with an exclusive 24 month warranty, if purchased through MobiCity,” the company notes.
The new mobile phone comes to the market with the Ice Cream Sandwich OS on board, being the first device in the world to feature this platform version.
It also comes with a variety of other new features inside, including NFC capabilities, a large touchscreen display, and more.
“The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first device to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and features a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD curved glass display with a resolution of 1280×720 in a device less than 9mm thick with a hyperskin soft touch grip coating on the backing,” MobiCity notes.
The Galaxy Nexus sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, and with a front facing camera with support for video calling while on the go.
The specifications list of the device also includes a 1.2GHz Dual Core Arm Cortex A9, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with 3G and WiFi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth and the aforementioned NFC capabilities.
Not to mention that the new device can deliver a great experience to its users courtesy of the features and capabilities that came on it bundled with Android 4.0.
