Google and Samsung have started to push out a software update for Galaxy Nexus devices in Europe to fix an issue that the phone has had with the volume controller from day one.

For those out of the loop, we should note that early adopters reported that their brand new Galaxy Nexus devices used to dim the volume on their own, for no apparent reason.

Google was fast to acknowledge the issue, and announced that it would provide a software update for the handset to fix this problem, which it already did.

The fix already arrived on some smartphones, and should be delivered to all of them in the following days, Google reportedly says: “We're currently rolling out a fix for the volume issue which will reach everyone in the coming week.”
