Owners of a Galaxy Nexus smartphone on the network of wireless carrier Vodafone Australia are about to get a taste of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Following months of testing and retesting, the software has been finally approved for deployment, and is expected to start arriving on devices soon.

Vodafone has already posted on its website that Google is the one to push the update to devices, but it did not offer specific info on when it would make the move.

At the same time, the company unveiled that its Galaxy S III users should expect a new software update for their devices in the near future. It is only a hotfix, it seems, but it has already been approved, and Samsung should start pushing the update to users in the near future.
