The latest Google phone out there, none other than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is expected to arrive on shelves in a matter of weeks, and should bring along the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, with all of the new features and capabilities it packs inside.

Before that, however, users get the chance to have a look at what will be included in the new device in terms of software courtesy of leaked development builds for the device.

Three files are available for download today for those interested in the matter, namely the Galaxy Nexus boot image, the phone's recovery image, and the system dump.

Available via MoDaCo, these are said to be “ICL23D Ice Cream Sandwich development build for the Galaxy Nexus.”

All android hackers and developers will certainly find these files of great interest, and they should look appealing for enthusiasts as well.

After all, the aforementioned system dump is a great resource for ringtones, graphics or live wallpapers that will make it into Galaxy Nexus.

However, those who will download these files should keep in mind that they are only pre-release versions and not the software that will actually be loaded on Galaxy Nexus when it becomes available for purchase.

The files available for download via MoDaCo are said to be stock and unedited, albeit they are developer builds. The builds have been extracted from a test Galaxy Nexus.

As stated above, the Galaxy Nexus is expected to become available for purchase in a matter of weeks, two of them, to be more precise.

Samsung and Google have already confirmed that the new device will hit the market on November 17th in the UK, and users will be able to get a taste of the official Ice Cream Sandwich build for it at that time. In the meantime, head over to the MoDaCo forums for more info on the leaked system images for Galaxy Nexus.
