Samsung Galaxy Nexus has yet to make its debut in North America. After Verizon Wireless was forced to push back the release of the smartphone to December due to some bugs that were discovered during testing, it appears that Canadians will be able to grab the device next month as well.

Bell Canada confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available soon, but did not disclosed any info regarding the smartphone's exact launch date and pricing options.

More official news about the upcoming release of the Galaxy Nexus have just surfaced via MobileSyrup, which confirms the launch date of the smartphone for December 8 at both Bell and Virgin Mobile.

“Galaxy Nexus superphone by Samsung will be available exclusively from Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile Canada this holiday season - starting December 8.”

In addition, customers waiting for the device to go live will be able to pre-order it through either of the two carriers for as low as $160 (120 EUR) on a three year term.

Bell also runs program called Bell Twitter Line-up, which is meant to ensure that 100 eligible customers will have their Galaxy Nexus shipped to their address on December 8.

For those who want to ensure they’re first to have Galaxy Nexus, the Bell Twitter Line-up runs from 10am to 10pm EST on December 1. Believed to be a first of its kind online purchasing opportunity, the Bell Twitter Line-up guarantees 100 eligible people a Galaxy Nexus shipped to their address on launch day December 8.”

Those who want to be among the first 100 lucky customers to have their Galaxy Nexus shipped on the day of its launch will have to log-in between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on December 1 and “sign-up to get a pre-populated Tweet and secure place in the virtual line.”

There's more to it, as “places 1 to 100 need to return to the page once every hour before 10 p.m. and send out the latest tweet.”

Only after successfully completing the requirements, Bell will contact customers eligible for this program and make the necessary arrangements.

Other pricing options for the Galaxy Nexus include: $649.95 outright, $624.95 with 1-year agreement, and $599.95 with 2-year contract.
