The Civilizations series gathered millions of fans over the years. It always felt great to research new technologies before anybody else and to build wonders of the world and then set on a war with the neighbors to get their big cities under your rule.
But Earth, no matter how randomly maps were generated, wasnt enough for the hunger of colonization mankind has. So for several years already, strategy fans can also choose to spread their influence across the entire universe in the Galactic Civilization series.

The year is 2225 and the evil Drengin Empire spreads chaos and terror all across the universe. A brilliant mind is needed to guide a new Empire that will settle the business in this restless world. This is where you come. Research, colonize, build new venues of entertainment and production factories, build up your army and order the construction of the best ships that technology ever allowed. Use diplomacy to get the other races to join your galactic war and send those custom designed battleships to the enemy territory so justice is finally done. Just in case you have a hard time accomplishing all that, here are some cheats to help you out a bit.

Ctrl + R - Research current tech (hold Shift for all the techs)
Ctrl + J - Completes social projects
Ctrl + (number between 0 and 9) - Hail's major races (dont use the NumPad to enter the numbers)
Ctrl + C - Clones selected ship
Ctrl + B - Adds battleship
Ctrl + V - United planets meeting
Ctrl + H - Heals selected ship
Ctrl + T - Teleports selected ship to cursor
Ctrl + L - Assigns remaining planets to major races
Ctrl + S - Saves
Ctrl + A - Upgrades selected ship
Ctrl + M - Adds 10,000bc
Ctrl + N - Restart on a new map with new race
Ctrl + P - Adds 1 to planet class (this is added to the planet size. However, you do not get the extra building tiles on the planet screen, so it doesn't really help much.)
CTRL+U - Takes away Fog of War
