Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar Cheats

One of the possible winning conditions in Sid Meirs Civilization series is the launch of a shuttle to another galaxy (the closest Proxima Centauri). This is just about where Stardock takes up and continues
to spread the human influence across the Universe. Friend or foe, many alien races cross your way. In Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords the Terran Alliance based on Earth in 2225 was working to build an interstellar alliance to ward of the powerful and hostile Drengin Empire. Into this mix came the Dread Lords - a race of insanely powerful beings who had been imprisoned in a pocket dimension. Suddenly, a three-way war was underway. The Dread Lords only weakness is that they were few in number (as in, only numbering in the hundreds). Dark Avatar includes a ton of new features as well as a new campaign in which players must take on the role of leader of the evil Drengin Empire to deal with an internal challenge to their dominance - the Korath.

Dark Avatar pretty much redesigns Galactic Civilizations II. It features an enhanced galaxy setup screen, custom made opponents, new requirements for colonization, new graphics, enhanced technology tree and asteroids to mine. War is not the only way to win the favor of the entire galaxy, theres also diplomacy. Powerful new treaties show up with the expansion and tons of extra details turn up in the Foreign Reports or the decisions to surrender or fight till extinction of enemies. With all the new stuff, I bet you could use a little help at defeating those pasty aliens and blast their civilization to star dust. OK, I get a little carried away. First of all you have to enable the cheat mode. To do that you have to add the word cheat to a shortcut to the game so it would look something like this (depending on the location of you GalCiv2 folder):

C:Program FilesGalCiv2galciv2.execheat

All thats left for you to do is to use the following key combinations during gameplay:

CTRL + A - Upgrade Selected Ship
CTRL + B - Add Battleship (rock on!)
CTRL + C - Clone Selected Ship
CTRL + H - Heal Selected Ship
CTRL + J - Complete Social Projects
CTRL + L - Assigns Remaining Planets to Major Races (how thoughtful of you)
CTRL + M - Add 10,000bc to your treasury
CTRL + N - Restart on New Map with New Race
CTRL + R - Research Current Tech (hold SHIFT for all of them)
CTRL + S - Save
CTRL + T - Teleport Selected Ship to Cursor
CTRL + V - United Planets Meeting
CTRL + SHIFT + B - Spawn Different Star Bases
CTRL + SHIFT + D - Spawn a Minor Race
CTRL + SHIFT + J - Completes Other Race's Projects
CTRL + SHIFT + M - Change Alignment
CTRL + SHIFT + T - Hail Yourself
CTRL + SHIFT + X - Report

To hail the Major Races use the CTRL key and a number from 0 to 9.

This is a great game. I have played it from release. You get to make you own custom race and explore with it. make friends or kill other races. Design you own ships and how they look. from were you want the weapons to were the engines are.

This game has it all for a strategy game. It is turn bases and 1 player only. but you can join a empire online and fight to become the top empire or them all and control the most space.

i love the incredible depth of the game.. the variables you can choose from the big number of AI levels to play against, quality of graphics, details, making your own custom ships,,,it is as if they cloned Sid Meir ! !,

ok, ONE thing, HOW do you get the cheat code into the short cut ?? every time i try, it rejects saying " you can not have < > " etc in a name...
i cant put it in the desktop shortcut, or the application in the file folder.. it wont let me, i can add " cheat" but, only like this,, galciv2.execheat,, or exe.cheat.exe.. how do you get it to accept it ???
