Since Gainward decided to diversify its graphics card offer, most of the company's fans have probably been waiting for a "Golden Sample" Radeon-based graphics card. By the looks of it, they won't have to wait for that much longer, as the company finally introduced one of its designs for a HD 4850-based graphics card. The Gainward HD 4520 512MB Golden Sample promises a better thermal that will offer users overall improved overclocking settings.

As most loyal fans must know by now, the "Golden Sample" lineup is designed to provide higher levels of performance, by using the company's custom cooling solution. The most recent graphics cards come to extend Gainward's ATI-range of products, with a factory overclocked version of one of AMD's latest Radeon graphics processor, the RV770.

Unlike the current HD 4850 offering, the new Golden Sample model is equipped with a dual-slot cooling solution for higher performance. The card has a factory overclocked core speed of 700MHz, while the 512MB of GDDR3 memory have been set to work at 2000MHz. The new product is meant to provide mainstream gaming users with one of the best graphics cards currently available on the market.

Besides the custom cooling solution and the overclocked settings, the Golden Sample is pretty much a standard HD 4850 card, with support for ATI's CrossFireX technology and ATI AVIVO HD. It is equipped with a dual link DVI output for a maximum resolution of 2560 by 1600. With the help of ATI's AVIVO HD technology, it will also do nicely in a multimedia desktop computer.

The card will also be offered with Gainward's EXPERTool, which will virtually put in users' hands an easy to use control software that can monitor the GPU's temperature and fan speed. This tool can also be used to configure the clock rates for the GPU, Shader and Memory, as well as the fan speed. But, basically, EXPERTool acts by informing users when the GPU temperature is over the warning value.

As of now, details regarding pricing and availability for the Golden Sample have not been made available.
