A brand new report has appeared online, this time claiming that the intended release periods for the Gaikai streaming technology for the PlayStation 4 are late 2014, in North America, and 2015, in Europe.

The PlayStation 4 was released this week in many parts of Europe, after already making its debut in North America on November 15.

Unfortunately, one of Sony's most ambitious features for the next-gen console, the Gaikai streaming technology, isn't ready at launch.

According to a new report from Eurogamer, however, work is progressing and the system is ready for a beta in early 2014.

This will be followed by a full rollout in North America in fall of 2014, while Europeans will receive it sometime in 2015.

No other details are available and it's unclear just how Sony will use Gaikai for the PS4.
