Lady Gaga’s outlandish fashion sense has gotten her into mild trouble at the Los Angeles International Airport the other day, as she was about to board a flight because she refused to remove her veil. Though asked by airport staff to uncover her face by removing the black veil she had on her head, Gaga refused and had to be asked to a room where she was given a body search, as Celebrity AOL informs.

The singer strutted at the airport dressed in a black leather jacket, black stockings and high leather boots, which had been decorated with blonde hair. Her face was entirely covered by a black veil: as fans would know, it’s not that uncommon for Gaga to go for strange headwear that sometimes hides her face altogether. At the security checkpoint, she was asked to remove the veil but she would not comply, the report says.

“We knew she suffered for her fashion, but Lady Gaga is reported to have been subjected to a private body search at Los Angeles airport after refusing to remove a veil from her face. The crazy-costumed singer was decked out in fishnet stockings, black leather jacket and knee-high boots (with added flowing blonde hair) but her decision to wear the black veil and essential outsized dark glasses that caused the problems. Gaga was attempting to leave LA yesterday when airport security politely asked her to remove the veil,” the aforementioned e-zine says.

“When she refused, the Poker Face singer was escorted to a private room where it is rumored that a body search took place. It is the second time in less than a week that Lady Gaga has experienced travel trouble. […] On this occasion though, Lady Gaga was allowed to go on her way after just 15 minutes. There is no word yet as to whether security found anything unusual,” Celebrity AOL writes.

Lady Gaga’s most recent fashion choices also happen to be the most out of the ordinary, with the singer stepping out over these past couple of weeks with hats shaped like a lobster or giant horns, or wearing PVC see-through dresses and plastic chicken claws for accessories.
