With the death of Muammar Gaddafi all over the news, IT security experts expect a new wave of spam messages that rely on the subject to attract the attention of unsuspecting victims.

Since yesterday, all the media is buzzing about the footage that showed up proving the death of the dictator and researchers from Websense started recording a peak in the number of emails relating to the event.

To state their point even better, the son, the wife and the daughter of Gaddafi, now post links to articles to prove their assets were “frozen” and that our help is needed to claim the millions.

No matter how convincing they sound, try to ignore alerts coming from anyone who states that they're willing to share millions with you in exchange for your bank account information.
