Genius isn't the type to let too much time go by without some sort of new product release and, sure enough, here is the latest peripheral to leave its labs.

Called GX Gaming Series Maurus X, it is a mouse for FPS and RTS games.

It is quite a big mouse, with six buttons and the ability to quickly change the DPI.

Sure, the maximum setting is of 4000 DPI, but it sometimes helps to use lower settings (800 minimum), especially in shooters where precision is key.

The mouse measures 12 x 8 x 4cm (4.7 x 3.2 x 1.6 inches) and weighs 178g (6.3oz).

Genius claims that it is still quite comfortable though, and even boasts the ability to create macros (up to eight).

Other features include a polished black and red surface, customizable lighting, textured, rubbery grips on the side, an overclocking SG-Core-i sensor, and up to 1000 Hz adjustable polling rate.

Sales should have started in North America for $49.90 / €37.91.
