The first development version towards the GVFS 1.20 application for the GNOME 3.12 desktop environment was announced a few days ago, introducing various fixes and improvements.

GVFS 1.19.1 fixes seeking past end of file for several backends, sets file executable bit from archive contents, prevents a crash on close by setting error to NULL, sets file type to regular by default, and removes unneeded trailing slashes in path.

Moreover, GVFS 1.19.1 fixes usage of incorrect enum constant, display URI on gvfs-info, introduces an option to output URIs on gvfs-ls, and speeds up writes by using the big_writes option. Several translations were also updated in this release. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download GVFS 1.19.1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
