CherryTree 0.34.3, a hierarchical note-taking application that features rich text and syntax highlighting, storing data in a single XML or SQLite file, has been released and is now available for download.

CherryTree features syntax highlighting, image handling, simple tables handling, spell check, export to HTML, export to cherrytree, password protection, and much more.

According to the changelog, the possibility to embed files of any type has been added in the cherrytree document, a clip icon image is inserted in the rich text and right clicking on it the file can be saved to a disk location, the possibility to associate links to the images through right click menu item has been implemented, a right click menu item is now available to insert a newline in table cell, and the functionality of the shortcut Ctrl+period has been restored.

Also, shortcuts have been added for the text Foreground and Background color (Shift+Alt+F and Shift+Alt+B), the shortcuts Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus are now used to increase or decrease the font of the tree and the text, and the number of backups to keep is now configurable.
