350,000 copies sold since 2003

Only several days before the release of GTA San Andreas, the Kanagawa prefecture from Japan decided to restrict the access of minors to the possibility of buying or renting this title. The Kanagawa prefecture includes cities as Yokohama and Kawasaki.

GTA has had this kind of problems before, and the decision of the Japanese is the last page in a history of controversies regarding the game itself or certain aspects of it, which have been blamed for allegedly inspiring violence.

What Hillary Clinton couldn't accomplish in the United States is now happening in Japan.

GTA 3 has been released in Japan in 2003 and has sold since 350,000 copies, and worldwide it has been declared the bestseller of all times.

The Kanagawa prefecture officials should be more concerned about GTA San Andreas, but seeing that there's no official release date for Japan yet, they still have time to decide what to do with it.

Capcorn, the distributor of GTA 3 in Japan had no comments on this decision.
