The rest of the top ten has not seen too many changes

Grand Theft Auto V caused much pain to some of its fans last week, when the development team at Rockstar announced that it was delaying the PC version of the game until March 24 of this year, but the title has managed to stay at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart on the strength of the quality that it is offering on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony or last-gen consoles.

At the same time, PC gamers are now able to place pre-orders for the title in order to get access to 1 million in-game currency to use in single player and Online, and those who reserve a copy of the title before February 1 will get a free game and more money to use.

FIFA 15, the EA Sports-made football sim, has also managed to improve its performance in the chart compiled by UKIE in order to reach second place, up one position this week, probably because gamers can now pick up the Team of the Year package for the Ultimate Team mode.

The last place on the podium of the United Kingdom video game chart for the period ending on January 17 is occupied by former number one Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, from Sledgehammer Games and Activision, which is set to get the new Havoc downloadable content on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on January 27.

The same DLC will be offered about one month later on the other platforms on which the shooter is offered.

The best of the rest

Far Cry 4, the open world shooter from Ubisoft, seems glued to fourth place at the moment and Minecraft on the Xbox has managed to gain popularity in order to reach fifth place.

The Crew, the open world racing experience from the French publisher, drops one place to sixth and is followed by the PlayStation version of the indie hit from Mojang.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity might have received free content to compensate fans for the poor launch, but it has lost sales to reach eighth place and is followed by Destiny in ninth.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham from Warner Bros.
