The initial free bonus game offer has expired

Rockstar delayed Grand Theft Auto V for PC for a few months and those expecting the game to arrive in later January will now have to wait until March 24 to get on playing it.

In order to compensate for the few months delay or perhaps to justify the high price (€59.99/$59.99), Rockstar offers some bonuses to those who pre-order Grand Theft Auto V.

The first pre-order offer expired on February 1 and included $1.3M in-game money, as well as one free game from a selected list: Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, GTA: Episodes from Liberty City, GTA 4, Bully: Scholarship Edition, GTA San Andreas, Manhunt, Max Payne 2, GTA: Vice City, Midnight Club 2, and GTA 3.

Beginning today, February 3, Rockstar has replaced the previous pre-order bonus with a new one that does not include a free game, just the money.

This means that those who pre-purchase Grand Theft Auto V from Steam will receive $1M in-game ($500,000 for Grand Theft Auto V and $500,000 for Grand Theft Auto Online). Additionally, customers who pre-order the game until March 9 will receive a bonus $300,000 for Grand Theft Auto Online.

According to Rockstar, the game will be available for pre-load, so those who buy it will be able to download it before Grand Theft Auto V gets released on Steam.

It’s unclear what will happen after March 9 when the current pre-order bonus will expire, but there’s a chance that Rockstar will replace it with another one less appealing than the previous two.

The PC version will be visually enhanced and will add new content

Grand Theft Auto V will be improved and enhanced for the PC release. The game has been confirmed to run at 60fps in 1080p, and it will also support 4K resolution.

New weapons, vehicles and activities, additional wildlife, denser traffic, new foliage system, enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more will be added.
