Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas landed on Android devices a few days ago, but did not manage to impress users positively, mainly due to the fact that it simply did not work.

However, it appears that the guys over at Rockstar Games managed to find the issue and that they have already updated the game to resolve it.

The game is now available for download as version 1.03, and users claim that it is finally playable, although some of them still experience some lag with it.

As PhoneArena notes, the title gathered over 1,000 1-star reviews shortly after launch, but things have turned to better, with the latest reviews (over 2,000 of them) rating the game with 5 stars.

Basically, this means that users interested in grabbing GTA: San Andreas can do so safely now. It features a price tag of $6.99 (€5.11) and requires Android 3.0 and higher to work.

However, it should be noted that the game weighs 2.4GB, which means that it would be a great idea to connect to a Wi-Fi network before starting the download process.

“Rockstar Games brings its biggest release to mobile yet with a vast open-world covering the state of San Andreas and its three major cities – Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas – with enhanced visual fidelity and over 70 hours of gameplay,” the game’s description reads.

Users will play as Carl Johnson, who returns to Los Santos, San Andreas, only to find that his family has fallen apart and that his friends are all heading towards disaster.

“On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets,” Rockstar Games explains.

The game promises re-mastered, high-resolution graphics that have been specifically designed to fit the smaller screens on smartphones, cloud save support for Rockstar Social Club Members, dual analog stick controls for full camera and movement control, and more.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Android can be found in the Google Play store.
