The development team at Rockstar has already launched the San Andreas Flight School update for Grand Theft Auto Online, and now the studio is ready to deliver a complete changelog for the accompanying patch 1.16, which includes some major changes for the video game.

The official announcement starts by listing all the new activities that gamers can undertake, most of them focused on flying around in a number of new airplanes that open up new ways to explore the game world and to deliver a crew to a potential battleground.

Players also get access to new types of parachutes, more vehicles to move into their garages, and a variety of bug fixes that are designed to make it easier to experience all the content that GTA Online has to offer.

A number of new jobs have been added to the title, and Stocks and Scares, Chemical Extraction, Rich Men in Richman, and Hack and Dash have been reactivated.

Rockstar adds:

- Players can now set the duration for One on One Deathmatches in the Interaction Menu. - A new on/off option has been added to the Interaction Menu to allow players to choose whether to wear a Helmet when using Motorbikes. - Co-op teams now appear grouped on Mission Leaderboards. - When using a Plane, you can now toggle the minimap by using D-pad down.

The mental state of players who are spending time watching TV has also been set to constantly decrease.

Rockstar also says that it has eliminated a range of exploits associated with GTA Online and that might also mean that soon those players who were using them in order to gain an advantage might be hit with bans.

GTA Online was introduced in late 2013 and was initially plagued by problems, but the development team has moved fast to patch them and to make the world an attractive place for fans of the series, with constant content drops and events to keep them entertained.

At the moment, the fan base is waiting to hear more news about the Heists update, which is supposed to introduce a range of complex cooperative missions, but Rockstar has not said anything about it since an initial delay announcement.

Some gamers have also dug through the files of the GTA Online experience and found references to some zombie content that might be in the early stages of the development process.
