Gamers will need to consider vehicles, roles and weapons

On March 10, gamers will be able to experience the new Heists update for Grand Theft Auto V Online, and in order to make sure that gamers are prepared for the coming large scale cooperative missions, the development team at Rockstar is offering a range of tips to all the player teams that aim to tackle them as soon as they are out.

On the official site, the studio explains that gamers will need to carefully choose the leader for each mission, who should have access to a high-end apartment and a planning board to make sure they can plan the upcoming task.

Leaders will also have to pay all the upfront costs and they can control all team roles, save progress during the action and assign the amount of money each member gets once a Heist is complete.

Rockstar adds that "Headsets are important to successfully pulling off Heists. Whether it's telling a lookout where they need to be, a passenger locating vehicles using the Trackify app and giving directions to the driver, or two infiltrators operating a pair of security panels in perfect sync."

As the Heist missions for GTA V Online progress, all those involved will have to switch roles based on the needs of the current assignment, and that means gamers will need to be careful about their specializations and about the weapons they will use.

The studio also says that teams will need to make sure they have access to silencers, which tend to be crucial for certain missions, and to four-door vehicles that have extra armor added.

GTA Online Heists will include Elite Challenges

For the most capable of players, each Heist they are tackling will include an Elite Challenge, which can generate a big cash reward but will be extra difficult.

Rockstar is also including Special Heist Completion bonuses that can only be achieved by one person, including First, Time, All in Order, Loyalty and Criminal Mastermind, each of them with their own unique rewards.

Heists will be live at the same time on all platforms and gamers who pick up the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V that launches in April will also get access to them as soon as they use the Online mode.
