Apparently, GTA encourages killing prostitutes, shooting cops, running over old people and beating gang rivals, or at least, that is what Thomas M. Menino, Mayor of Boston thinks.

Over the past week, Boston has been in anti-GTA: Vice City Stories frenzy, as the city officials are against the game to be advertised on trolleys. But in just four weeks of advertising, Grand Theft Auto has earned MBTA no more and no less than US$ 115,000, at least according to what Boston Herald reports.

This advertising campaign started just 4 weeks ago, and posters of GTA: Vice City Liberty Stories can be seen on 100 Green Line trolleys in Boston. Apparently, quite a few politicians, ministers and health care officials signed a letter of protest meant for the MBTA General Manager, in order to convince him to remove the advertisements from the trolleys.

Daniel Grauskas, the General Manager of the MBTA, explained that he doesn't have any authority to say what should be advertised on trolleys and what shouldn't, but the ads are still going down on November 30th.

Thomas Menino has declared to Boston Herald that he finds these ads outrageous and that the MBTA has the responsibility of protecting the public from being bombarded by violent images, as they are a public entity.
