The most anticipated trailer of the year, finally released

If you're still trying to see the trailer and can't (because every gamer on the planet is watching it at the moment, some even for the 40th time), just click HERE and you won't just see a blurry video, but Roockstar's actual HD GTA IV trailer. Now if you're having trouble with the official site, just scroll down to see the one on youtube (not HD however). Of course, some will probably say that Rockstar made a fuss out of nothing, releasing such a short trailer for the highly anticipated GTA IV, that doesn't even show in-game activity, but as short as the trailer is, there's a lot to be observed.

First of all, visuals: Oh. My. God. Need I even say anymore that next-gen power is totally rewriting the GTA series starting with GTA IV? You've surely seen the improvements: -billboard writings totally distinguishable from any angle; -no more cartoony Liberty City and boxy people; -visual effects: check out the water in the last few seconds of the clip.

There's much more to be commented on regarding graphics. It hits you in the face the first time you see the trailer, but then again, there's not much in-game activity to be observed. A mere 4 seconds show "life in The Big Apple" and I sincerely think that's the only in-game part of it all. We all know what that means but let's just hope that overall, in-game GTA IV will look at least 70% like the trailer. Another hit-you-in-the-face feature is the story.

Rockstar brings this Russian dude to the City, where he apparently has to start from scratch, after "killing, smuggling and selling people," so presumably he's the main guy. Oh, but have you seen that there aren't any flying objects in the sky? Well, except the birds. Could this mean that GTA IV won't happen in the sky as well? Disappointing if you ask me, I was kind of hoping that it would.

Other details, you'll see for yourself but the leap is extraordinary you have to admit. The graphics engine took its toll (Euphoria is it?) I can only imagine what controversy the fourth installment of the series will bring with these visuals. Nasty stuff will be even more observable in HD as you can imagine.
