Rockstar, one of the best known developers in videogaming, has announced that the two downloadable episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV are set to also be released on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and on the PC on March 30 of this year. Until now, the two pieces of content were exclusive to the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and could be bought on a disk or downloaded using the Xbox Live Marketplace.

On the PC and on the PS3, the two new episodes, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, will be delivered through a retail disk titled Episodes from Liberty City, which is set to resell for 40 dollars. On the PC, players will need to have Games for Windows Live installed in order to enjoy the two episodes.

The new episodes tell the story of two characters that briefly cross paths with Niko. Johnny Klebitz is a biker and he needs to do quite a lot of unsavory stuff to keep his gang together and to keep them from becoming a real menace, while Luis Lopez is a high life roller who must let go of a variety of temptations in order to find out where his true loyalties lie.

Both of the new episodes offer quite a bit of fresh content, allowing for the player to engage in cage fighting, gang wars, parachute jumping of buildings while also introducing weapons and vehicles that can be used to cause mayhem in Liberty City.

Sam Houser, co-founder and president of Rockstar, stated that “It's been a long time coming, but we are proud to finally deliver Episodes From Liberty City for the PC and PlayStation 3. We appreciate the patience of our PlayStation 3 and PC fans worldwide, and we look forward to putting the games in your hands this March.”
