After finally revealing to the world that it's going to debut Grand Theft Auto 5 onto the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms this fall, Rockstar Games has just come forward with a huge amount of details about its upcoming open world experience while confirming that it allows for the progression in GTA Online on PS3 or Xbox 360 to be transferred onto any of the new platforms.

Grand Theft Auto 5 appeared for the PS3 and Xbox 360 last September and delighted tens of millions of console owners from around the world with the high-quality open world experience, its crazy single-player story campaign, and its highly-addictive GTA Online multiplayer mode.

Since then, developer Rockstar has been silent about any possible adaptations of the game onto PC, PS4, or Xbox One, as the studio wanted to maintain a shroud of secrecy.

At E3 2014 a few hours ago, Rockstar has finally confirmed that GTA 5 is going to debut for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One this fall in the form of an overhauled experience that's been enhanced in every way, from visuals to gameplay and more.

"Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail," Rockstar said on the official newswire.

"Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California."

Rockstar calls this new version of GTA 5 the "deepest and richest open world experience" and reveals that it will have new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and "an array of new details to discover."

Of course, the GTA Online multiplayer mode has also been drastically improved, bringing the same great experience, not to mention all the new content and gameplay created since the game's original launch. New owners, however, will also enjoy plenty of new online missions and other things.

"All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come."

What's more, existing GTA Online players will be able to transfer their characters and progression onto one of the new platforms, using the Rockstar Social Club.

GTA 5 on the PC will also have an exclusive video editor designed for advanced movie recording and making.
