First up, the developer reveals that it's in the final stages of the game's creation process, meaning fans can expect to hear word about official minimum and recommended PC specifications soon enough, probably next week before the actual winter holidays.

"We’re presently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V and hope to have confirmed official system requirements to share soon, please stay tuned for that to be announced in the coming week. Thank you and we’re very excited to bring GTAV to the PC gaming community," the studio reveals.

Character transfer is going to be available for the new version

Rockstar also sheds some light on the character transfer option for GTA 5 on PC, as owners of the game on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One will be able to bring their progression into the new version, no matter if they have already brought the data over from the last-gen consoles to the new generation ones.

"You will be able to transfer your Online characters and progress from any of the four consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One) to the PC platform. To be clear, if you transfer or have already transferred your progress from PS3 or Xbox 360 to either PS4 or Xbox One, then you will still be able to do another transfer again from PS4 or Xbox One to PC," the developer explains.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to appear on PC on January 27, worldwide.
