14 DAY TRIAL // The online heists update for Grand Theft Auto 5 has just received its official changelog, with Rockstar explaining just what's included in patch 1.07, for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, and patch 1.21, for the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions.
GTA 5 rolled out way back in September of 2013 onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and surfaced onto the PS4 and Xbox One in November. While developer Rockstar Games is still working on the PC edition of the game, which should debut in April, it has now released the biggest update yet for the game on consoles.
The new patch launched earlier today and finally brought forth the online heists to the GTA Online multiplayer mode, allowing owners of the game to embark on multi-stage robberies with their friends.
The official changelog is now available
The full changelog has just been revealed on the official website and it's an absolutely massive one, as Rockstar details every single new element included in the update, which takes the game's PS3 and Xbox 360 editions to version 1.21, and the PS4 and Xbox One iterations to version 1.07.
First up, the new heists take center stage, with Rockstar confirming that they unlock at rank 12 for players who have a high-end apartment. They'll get a call from Lester and they should accept in order to become heist leader and invite their friends.
The heists include setup missions that unlock various goodies and can be replayed after a short cooldown. During this time, you can engage in new asymmetrical modes that include various challenges and off-beat activities. More free-roam activities and daily objectives are also available in GTA Online, which unlock at rank 15, so there are many incentives to keep revisiting the multiplayer mode.
