Rockstar Games has confirmed that it's going to debut a brand new patch for Grand Theft Auto 5 today, April 8, in the form of update 1.12, and that the content creator tool for the GTA Online multiplayer mode will receive the ability to make Capture missions on Friday, April 11.

GTA 5 came out last September and, since then, Rockstar Games has rolled out the actual multiplayer mode for the title, in the form of GTA Online, not to mention a huge amount of updates and patches designed to remove issues and exploits, while adding new content.

Now, Rockstar has confirmed on its Newswire that two major things are coming to GTA 5 this week.

First up, there's title update 1.12 hitting the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions of GTA 5 later today, April 8, bringing a huge amount of changes.

These range from getting bonus RP when you like or dislike content after playing it, to the ability of calling Lester and telling him to make the cops ignore you for a short while. Increased payouts for players who complete Parachute, Races, Deathmatches, or LTS jobs with less than four players are also included.

Besides this major addition to the game, on Friday, April 11, Rockstar is going to roll out a big improvement to the Content Creator tool for the GTA Online multiplayer mode.

Starting on that day, imaginative players will be able to create Capture jobs using the complex tool across all four of the game type's variants (Contend, GTA, Hold, and Raid). These jobs, like the other modes, can then be published for all players to play, rate, and share via the Rockstar Social Club.

"In honor of this forthcoming update, and to help you hone your skills for the wave of new player-made Capture creations to come - from now until Friday, playing any of the official Capture Jobs in GTA Online will earn you twice as much GTA$ and RP," Rockstar said.

"If you haven't yet played Capture Mode in GTA Online, it's a GTA twist on classic capture the flag style confrontations that brings a whole new level of adversarial action to the world of Los Santos and Blaine County. Strategy plays a huge role as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don’t get close to your goods."

Expect the new update to go live on PSN and Xbox Live today, while the Capture feature will be turned on at the end of the week.
