While the twin Frozr II HD 6870 was only revealed by a leak, Micro-Star's gaming laptop GT663 was detailed by its maker just a short while ago and has even been given an actual price tag.

Though hardware makers are ever so fond of unleashing new products, they often give previews of upcoming devices well ahead of the actual launch.

Something along these lines is what happened early last month, when MSI revealed the GT663 gaming mobile computer.

This laptop is a 15.6-inch machine based on Intel's Calpella platform and which has now been detailed fully and even priced.

There are three versions of the laptop, all of which share most of the specifications, except for the memory and storage capabilities.

The least expensive of the trio sells for 1,499 Euro, is named i7468BLW7P and features two HDDs (320 GB each) in RAID 0, plus 6 GB of RAM.

The second cheapest, i7488BLW7P, has 8 GB of RAM and a price of 1,599 Euro, but is otherwise identical to its sibling.

Thirdly, the flagship GT663R-i74129BLW7P, has a pair of 500 GB HDDs and 12 GB of RAM, its price being of 1,799 Euro.

All of them run on the Intel Core i7-740QM central processing unit (CPU), which has a clock speed of 1.73 GHz.

This CPU is paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphics card, which has 1.5 GB of memory and reigns over the 15.6-inch display (1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution).

Furthermore, the laptop comes with a Blu-ray combo drive, as well as the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

The list includes Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 4-in-1 card reader, a 720p webcam, HDMI, D-Sub and a pair of USB 3.0 connectors.

All of the hardware is kept operational by a 9-cell battery and the three configurations should start selling in December, 2010, loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.
