GSmart, mobile brand of the famous Gigabyte computer hardware manufacturer, announced the availability of two new Pocket PCs for the UK market: GSmart MS800 and GSmart MW700. These are the first devices to come with the new Smart Touch user interface that GSmart unveiled exactly one month ago. Built to be simple and efficient, the Smart Touch UI allows users to benefit from a finger-friendly and highly customizable mobile experience.

The MW700 and MS800 share about the same specs and design, the main difference being the fact that MW700 comes only with GSM/EDGE connectivity, while the MS800 offers, besides EDGE, 3G/HSDPA capabilities and a video-call camera. Aside from these aspects, the new GSmart Pocket PCs have the following features: built-in GPS, a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with both EDR and A2DP, Music and video players, FM radio with RDS, a 2 Megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording, mini USB, microSD card support and a powerful Marvell PXA270 processor at 520 MHz - all in a simple-looking case that measures only 14.9 millimeters in thickness and weighs 133 grams.

The MW700 is available across the UK for retail prices between 279 and 299 GBP (about 355 - 380 Euros or 550 - 590 USD). Coming with 3G capabilities, the MS800 is a bit more expensive and has retail prices between 359 and 379 GBP (around 460 - 480 Euros or 710 - 750 USD).

Together with the launch of the two new devices, GSmart also announced a competition that allows up to 10 contestants to win a Pocket PC.
