Sunnyvale-based mobile phone maker Palm has recently announced that it will deliver to the market a second device powered by its new webOS platform, namely the Palm Pixi, which follows only a few months the high-end Palm Pre smartphone currently available for purchase in the US via Sprint and which should soon come to Europe via O2.

While no official details on a Palm Pixi coming to the old continent were unveiled until now, a picture of a GSM Pixi has recently emerged to the Internet, courtesy of Vietnamese website tinhte (which seems to have images of a lot of goodies in its store, including the Bold II). Along with the image, some details on what the device would include were also unveiled.

Thus, the GMS version of Palm Pixi is supposedly hitting the shelves with 4GB of memory on board, which is only half of what the CDMA variant sports, as well as a SIM card slot under the battery and an EDGE logo. Europe might not be the only area where the GSM Pixi will arrive, as some of the rumors around also point towards AT&T as a possible carrier for the device.

One other feature that the Pixi supposedly includes is Wi-Fi connectivity, yet noting is certain on this at the moment. Until more info emerges, we should take a look at the GSM version of Palm Pre, a device that is set to become available for purchase via O2 in a matter of weeks. The new images that caught the handset into the wild were posted by webos-blog.de, and they show a device ready for launch.

In related news, we learn that the Palm Pre might also arrive in Spain in the near future. Movistar is expected to put the phone on sale as soon as October 14, and will have it available for free on certain contract plans. At the same time, Xatakamovil also says that the Pre might also be priced at 219 Euros, again depending on the selected plan.
