Ross Gowing, the senior games designer working on GRID 2, says that his Codemasters team wants to make sure that all racing fans who pick up the game will have a complex experience that justifies the cover price.

The developer tells VG247 that, “We’ve noticed a trend in recent years with some of the supposedly ‘big’ games that were actually six hours long, and we didn’t feel that was sufficient value for money for our fans at all.”

He adds, “We wanted to make sure there was so much more for them to do.”

The new racing game is designed to focus on a number of extraordinary vehicles that received a detailed simulation.

GRID 2 will be out on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on May 28 in the United States and three days later in Europe.
