GParted Live 0.19.0 Beta 1, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, has been released and is now available for download.

GParted Live can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. People will find it very easy to use and shouldn’t have any problems running the operating system. The Gparted software tool uses libparted from the parted project to detect and manipulate partition tables.

“The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2014/Jun/04),” reads the official announcement.

There is nothing new in this release besides the Debian update. Users have been expecting a Linux kernel update, but it hasn’t arrived. The distribution is still using the 3.14.4 kernel, but it's still a very new one, so users shouldn't have a problem with it.

A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the announcement. You can download GParted 0.19.0 Beta 1 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
