GParted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow managing filesystems, is now at version 0.18.0-5.

GParted Live 0.18.0-5 can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. People will find it very easy to use and shouldn’t have any problems running the operating system.

“The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2014/May/15),” reads the changelog.

Besides the updated Debian base, the developer has also updated the Linux kernel to version 3.14.4-1, which is the most advanced stable kernel available right now.

Also, the packages lsof, psmisc, dnsutils, wget, ftp, bzip2, zip, unzip, w3m, and gsmartcontrol have been added in the Gparted Live, and the startup page of netsurf has been assigned to the GParted live manual.

A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the changelog. You can download GParted Live 0.18.0-5 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
