GParted, a partitioning utility that can be used for creating, reorganizing, and deleting disk partitions with the help of tools that allow the management of filesystems, is now at version 0.18.0.

The Gparted tool uses libparted from the parted project to detect and manipulate partition tables. Various other file system tools allow users to manage file systems not included in libparted.

“This release of GParted fixes a resize/move problem introduced in 0.16.2 that set partition size smaller than ext2/3/4, ntfs, and reiserfs file systems in certain situations. Also included are bug fixes and language translation updates,” reads the official announcement.

Also, according to the changelog, a crash that occurred when creating new partitions on disk with loop label has been fixed.

A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the announcement. Download GParted 0.18.0 right now from Softpedia.
