Tablets are slowly but surely weaseling their way into gaming, so if you don’t mind playing games on a 7-inch screen, you might want to take into the consideration the GPD G7 GamePad.

One part tablet, one part portable game system, the GamePad brings hardware gaming controls and is available for just $140 / €104 from retailers like the Chinese PandaWill (note, the device ships globally).

Arranged in landscape mode, the GPD G7’s 1024 x 600 scree resolution won’t knock your shows off, but paired with the Mali 400 MP4 GPU, it should provide some fine frame-rates.

Processor-wise, we have Rockchip RK2188 (Cortex A9 quad core) processor on the inside keeping things alive, combined with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of Nand Flash.

On the software front, the tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is relatively decent, albeit a bit outdated.

If you’re into photography, you won’t be disappointed as the GamePad has a 0.3MP frontal camera, but obviously you won’t be able to do much with it. The slate also has a TF card, mini HDMI and microUSB.
