It is a notebook featuring a Haswell CPU and NVIDIA graphics

Micro-Star International does seem to like to make a splash, even if it's not a large one. Its latest product definitely packs high-grade hardware, above its grade some might even say.

Then again, the GP60 is not the first 15.6-inch gaming system ever made, not by a long shot, and compared to MSI's other high-end PCs, it doesn't stand out so much.

Of course, with how little room to maneuver there is in terms of hardware-price ratios, that's understandable.

Anyway, the GP60 Gaming Series is one of the mid-range gaming notebooks on the market, which isn't as easy to pull off as it sounds.

MSI had to provide more than the regular level of aesthetic value here, otherwise it would have ended up making something more along the lines of a dull-looking mobile workstation.

Thus, a gaming-grade keyboard by SteelSeries was chosen, along with an audio card tuned for gaming headsets, complete with gold-plated headset jacks (on the left hand side).

The 15.6-inch LCD can have a resolution of either 1366 x 768 pixels (HD) or 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD).

Also, for connecting to a larger HDTV or monitor, an HDMI 1.4a port is available, along with a D-Sub (VGA).

Speaking of connectors, there is a Gigabit Ethernet port too, plus two USB 3.0 ports.

As for the insides, they are managed by a fourth-generation Intel Core-series central processing unit (Haswell CPU).

An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M adapter (2 GB GDDR5 VRAM) handles the graphics when the integrated processor in the CPU can't. Meanwhile, up to 16 GB of DDR3 ensure the smooth processing of the 1 TB HDD storage and 24 GB of cache SSD storage space (hybrid drive used).

Other specifications include 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, a 6-cell battery, a memory card slot, and an optical drive (BR combo or DVD-WR).

MSI should start selling the GP60 Gaming Laptop soon, if it hasn't already, for an unspecified price.
