The team behind the GOG digital distribution service announces that it is launching a weekend offer which will allow any players to get a 60 percent price cut for all the games that are part of the Electronic Arts publisher catalog.

For 2.39 dollars or Euro, gamers can get access to games from the Ultima series, the SimCity classic games, Populous, Crusader and many others.

A full list can be found on the official website that GOG has set up for the promotion.

The service is specialized in re-launching old and beloved titles, making sure that they are optimized for today’s computers.

All the Electronic Arts games work on both Windows and on OSX.

The games are all DRM free.

The best game of the bunch for me is Alpha Centauri, one of the best strategy games ever created by Firaxis under the guidance of Brian Reynolds.
