GOG.com has just introduced a new money-back guarantee for its entire online catalogue of games. The offer will last up to 30 days from the initial purchase date of the game.

Although this decision is meant to address the technical difficulties some users encounter, the issue of misuse of the online retailer's new offer inevitably arises.

“GOG.com’s new policy is actually a declaration of trust in both its games and its gamers. GOG.com trusts the games that it sells,” the retailer was quoted by VG247.

“There’s also some trust in their users involved, since the very nature of DRM-free gaming means that they can’t ‘de-activate’ any games that the user reports as broken,” the major online retailer went on.

Any buyer will be able to claim a full refund for any title, provided that their PC meets the minimum requirements and they are unable to properly play the game, for whatever reason.
