Mutter, a window and compositing manager that displays and manages your desktop via OpenGL, has reached version 3.13.3.

Owen Taylor has announced that Mutter 3.13.3 has been released, featuring a number of changes and improvements. This is not a major update, but it's shaping up to be a very interesting final release.

According to the changelog, the behavior of window buttons has been improved with the compositor menu, touch support on Wayland has been added, the window shadows have been updated, the windows are now kept on the preferred output, and numerous bug fixes have been implemented.

Also, basic HiDPI support on Wayland has been implemented, a crash that occurred when monitors were changed during suspend has been fixed, mutter-launch has been replaced with logind integration, the window menu has been moved into the compositor, the delayed focus-follows-mouse support has been fixed, the fallback app menu in window decorations is now supported, and much more.

Check the changelog for more details about this release. You can download Mutter 3.13.3 sources right now from Softpedia, but you will have to wait until GNOME 3.14 is out to fully enjoy all these changes.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
