GNOME’s default text editor, Gedit, has reached version 3.11.2, a development build that introduces various new features and bug fixes, as well as many updated translations.

Gedit 3.11.2 is the second development release towards Gedit 3.12, which will be part of the upcoming GNOME 3.12 desktop environment, and it introduces a revamped user interface that radically changes the way users interact with the application.

Moreover, Gedit 3.11.2 removes a deprecated API, improves the documentation, integrates the change case plugin directly inside GtkSourceView, and fixes other miscellaneous bugs that were discovered in the previous release.

Among the updated translations, we can mention Bulgarian, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Galician, Hebrew, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese Brazilian, Slovak, Slovenian, Thai, Traditional Chinese, and others. For more details, please take a look at the official raw changelog.
