The release of GNOME Tweak Tool 3.14 RC1, a utility popular among users of the GNOME 3 desktop environment, has been announced by its developer.

The GNOME Tweak Tool is better known by the users of Ubuntu as “Tweak Tool.” As you might expect, it's a very important tool for customizing how your Gnome 3 environment looks and behaves. It's no longer usable in Ubuntu systems, although you can still install it.

Surprisingly enough, this is the first release in the new branch and the developers haven't made any significant improvements or modifications.

According to the changelog, the menubar has been disabled, a KeyError that occurred when extensions with no version were installed has been fixed, the positional arguments are no longer used with the GObject constructor, a string that wasn't translated has been corrected, and numerous translation updates have been implemented.

A complete list of changes for all the versions launched so far can be found in the official GNOME repository. You can download GNOME Tweak Tool 3.14 RC1 right now from Softpedia.

This is just the source package and users don't really have any use for it. The final version that will arrive with the GNOME 3.14 launch will be a much better testing ground for this package.
