GNOME Shell, a user interface that provides functions for the GNOME desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.8.
The GNOME development is running smoothly and more features are added with each new version.
Highlights of GNOME Shell 3.8:
• Blur and desaturation effects have been removed from the lock screen; • Scroll view fade near edges has been removed; • Calendar components are now opening when using Evolution; • Unlocking is now working properly on fast user switch; • A major memory leak, that occurred when changing backgrounds, has been fixed; • Various bug fixes were implemented; • A lot of translations were updated.
