GNOME Shell, a user interface that provides functions for the GNOME desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.8.1.
The GNOME development is running smoothly and more features are added with each new version.
Highlights of GNOME Shell 3.8.1:
• The window group is now displayed correctly during the startup animation; • The screen recorder keybinding is now enabled in all modes; • The box-shadow has been removed from the screen shield for performance reasons; • Support for the -st-natural-width/height CSS properties has been added; • Excessive padding has been removed from notification buttons; • The thumbnail dragging has been fixed in overview; • Various memory leaks have been fixed.
