The first Beta of GNOME Shell 3.6 is available for testing!

The GNOME Project announced earlier today, August 22nd, the immediate availability for download and testing of GNOME Shell 3.6 Beta.  

This is the first Beta release of the GNOME Shell 3.6 interface for the GNOME desktop environment and includes lots of improvements and features, such as lock screen improvements, better styling of keyring prompt, display enterprise login hint, and many more.

The official changelog for GNOME Shell 3.6 Beta can be viewed here.   GNOME Shell 3.6 Beta is part of the new GNOME 3.6 desktop upgrade, which will be released on September 26th, 2012.   Download GNOME Shell 3.6 Beta sources right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
