GNOME Shell, a user interface which provides functions for the GNOME 3 desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.2.2.1.

After just one day, GNOME Shell was updated again, from version 3.2.2 to 3.2.2.1. The yesterday's release had over 15 changes and lots of updated translations, as show in an article by our colleague, Marius Nestor.

As expected, GNOME Shell 3.2.2.1 only brings a minor update, more precisely fixes several regressions in 3.2.2 that prevented tray icons from working correctly.

GNOME Shell 3.2.2.1 is part of the new GNOME 3.2.2 desktop upgrade, which was released on November 17th, 2011.

The GNOME Shell package provides basic UI (User Interface) functions for the GNOME 3 desktop environment, such as launching applications and switching to windows.
