The GNOME development team has released the second maintenance release for the stable GNOME Settings Daemon 3.10 package, which is part of the GNOME 3.10.2 desktop upgrade.

GNOME Settings Daemon 3.10.2 fixes an issue with a second MPRIS client that was never used, makes the "Pause" function to work for MPRIS clients, makes the "shutdown" action to not be interactive anymore, and allows the power key in more places.

Moreover, GNOME Settings Daemon 3.10.2 fixes "time to empty" issues for laptops with multiple batteries, prevents possible overflows when handling timestamps, and D-Bus is now set to unwatch before the xsettings managers is destroyed.

GNOME Settings Daemon is a daemon run by all GNOME sessions to provide live access to configuration settings and the changes done to them. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.
