The application is now part of the GNOME 3.8 desktop environment

The 3.8.0 version of the GNOME Photos application, which is part of the recently released GNOME 3.8 dekstop environment, was announced last week.

GNOME Photos 3.8 has been greatly enhanced to support albums, as well as an Albums mode. It also brings support for printing.

Moreover, the ClutterGTK and Clutter dependencies have been removed, and the developers urge users to use GEGL instead. The ostbuild failures have also been fixed.

Last but not least, the following translations has been updated in this release: Simplified Chinese, Czech, Finnish, Galician, German, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Punjabi, Russian, Serbian, Slovenian and Spanish.

GNOME Photos is a GNOME application that will allow users to easily access, organize and share their photos when using the GNOME 3 desktop environment.
